- 23rd day of September, regnal year 14 (<em>sic</em>). Thomas of Stirling died in 1227 (× 16 May) and his appearance as first in the witness lists suggests he was then chancellor (to which he succeeded by March 1225 though not styled regularly as such until 1226).
