Death of Earl Duncan I × royal confirmation (<em>RRS</em>, ii, no. 151), which is dated by death of Walter de Bidun, the chancellor in 1178, prob. after 14 Oct. The witness lists to Duncan's charters anent Kettle, Cupar, Markinch and Nydie (nos. 22, 23, 24, 26) are very similar, and may suggest they were drawn up at or around the same time.
