Dating Notes
According to C. Neville, this charter dates to the period when Brice of Dunning was steward of the earldom. Neville, Thesis, Chapter 4, p. 175. Apparently after 3/21/32, 3/21/33, 3/21/34, as Henry son of Tristram, who witnessed the above charters, seems to have been dead by this point. See Inchaff. Chrs., 279. Note that Master Christian, the brother of Gilbert, archdeacon of Dunblane, does not witness.
