Counterseal depicting the bishop half length, front face, with mitre and his right hand raised in benediction while his left holds a crozier. Under a canopy below is a figure in a boat, kneeling to *dexter*, which according to Stevenson and Wood may be an allusion to the incident of Gilbert the Canon and the Papal Legate Hugo.
