Image description (obverse)
The king is shown sat on a richly-decorated throne with side panels with uprights terminating in fleurs-de-lys. He has long hair, a beard and a moustache, and wears a small crown with three fleurs-de-lys, and a loose garment with sleeves to the elbows, and a mantle. He is holding a sceptre with a *foliated* top in his right hand, and the cords of his mantle in his left, on his chest. His feet rest on two small *wyverns* on the footboard. The background is covered in *slipped trefoils*.
Image description (reverse)
The reverse shows the king on horseback to *sinister*, wearing chain mail with a loose surcoat, a flat-topped helmet with grated sight slits, and a fan plume. He holds a grooved sword in his right hand, and a shield emblazoned with royal arms hangs from his shoulders. The horse has a fan plume on its head and spikes on its shoes, as well as stiff armorial *caparisons* at the front and back, with no opening for the tail. The background is covered in *slipped trefoils*.
