Gilbert, abbot of Coupar Angus (d.1243)

Biography
Watt and Shead, Heads, 44: Gilbert was a monk of Coupar when he was elected abbot there in 1240. he was buried on 10 October 1243. Gilbert died and was buried at the abbey of St-Rémy (presumably at Reims?) whilst returning from a meeting of the Cistercian general chapter. (Chron. Mel.)
