Gregory, archdeacon of St Andrews (d.1285×96)

Biography
Watt and Murray, Fasti, 394: Gregory occurs as archdeacon of St Andrews on 4 August 1279 and again on 13 February 1295. Watt, Graduates, 236-7: Gregory was master by August 1279 and was archdeacon of St Andrews after 15 October 1273 and probably after 1278. Before 7 March 1285, as a papal chaplain, he was given licence to hold a prebend and canonry of Dunkeld, being in possession of those by 10 April 1288. He was at the papal curia in early 1286 though he returned by November of that year. His successor as archdeacon is found by 2 September 1296, and Gregory's death was probably February 1295×September 1296. Cf. Gregory de Clirania
