Cambuskenneth Abbey (fd.c.1140)

Biography
Cambuskenneth Abbey is located just outside Stirling (STL) on the River Forth and is in the diocese of St Andrews. It was founded around 1140 by King David I as an Augustinian house, being dedicated to the Virgin Mary. It is sometimes called the monastery or abbey of Stirling.
