John de Tantone [aka of London], precentor of Lincoln

Biography
Fasti Ecclesiae Anglicanae 1066-1300, iii, 12-15: John de Tantone (Taunton?), aka of London, was perhaps related to Master Gilbert de Tantone, archdeacon of Hungtingdon in the 1230s. John was a canon and first appears as precentor of Lincoln on 26 September 1225. His last occurance is on 17 May 1237. He is not to be identified with John de Taunton, bishop of Kildare, 1233-58.
