Biography
Watt and Murray, Fasti, 222: William of Lindsey occurs on 5 April 1275 and 26 July 1275 as archdeacon of Glasgow. He succeeded Reginald of Irvine, who last occurs on 19 April 1266. Watt, Graduates, 354-5: He held the church of Skirling (PEB). William came from the family of Lindsay of Lamberton (BWK) and Molesworth (Huntingdon), and may have been the younger brother of Walter (d.1271). William may have been a subdeacon, holding the church of Molesworth in 1258-9
