Giles de Chaumont, master

Biography
Watt, Graduates, 96: Giles is found twice as Master as a witness to acts of Bishop William Malveisin, probably dating 1230×35. His name may be derived from Chaumont-en-Vexin (Oise), France. An earlier man called William de Chaumont held land of the de Quincy family in England and was active in Scotland in the 1220s and 1230s.
