Godfrey of Winchester, master

Biography
Watt, Graduates, 583: Godfrey is found as master twice in a Paisley context, witnessing acts of Bishop Alan of Argyll in September 1253. His surname may also be Winton (ELO), or he has taken it from Winchester in England. He appears to be in the familia of Bishop Alan. He may be the same as Godfrey, archdeacon of Galloway, who is found from 1254. Cf. Godfrey de Ros.
