Biography
Watt and Murray, Fasti, 116: Augustine of Nottingham was archdeacon of Dunblane, occurring on 23 January 1268 and 25 March 1283. Watt, Graduates, 433: Augustine was an Englishman from Nottingham; he may be connected to another Augustine of Nottingham, bishop of Laodicea (d.Jan.xFeb. 1260/1). Augustine studied at Bologna, appearing in the late 1260s, and is called Master when found in Scotland in 1283. He died after 25 March 1283, his successor as archdeacon of Dunblane is found in office by 28 September 1287.
