Description
Robert, king of Scots, has [given?] his beloved and faithful Archibald of Douglas, for his homage and service, the demesne lands of Rattray with the port of the same, the land of 'Creithmode' on which the church is sited, the lands of Creichmode Nagorthe and of Creichmodebelle with its mill, the park of Kindolos, lands of Carnglas, Rothnathie and of Tulykerath, hold of him and his heirs in feu and heritage, in one free barony, with pit and gallows, toll and team, sake and soke, and infangenthef, with bondi, bondages, neyfs and their offspring, performing the forinsec service pertaining to half of the service of one knight and Scottish service of the aforesaid lands.
