Charter of Robert, king of Scots, has given John son of Níall for his homage and service that pennyland of Craigcaffie in Galloway with the farthing land near Beoch with the pertinents, in feu and heritage, for one footman with sword and lance and maintenance forty days and forinsec service used and wont.
