Description
Robert, king of Scots, has given his beloved and faithful Walter, steward of Scotland, in free marriage with Margery his daughter, the barony of Bathgate (WLO) with the land of Ricardton', the barony of Ratho (MLO) the land of 'Bernys' beside Linlithgow (WLO) with the land called 'la Brome' by the loch of Linlithgow, the land of Bonnyton with the land of Airngaith beside Linlithgow, the land of Gallow Hill beside Linlithgow, the annual render from the Carse of Stirling which the abbot and convent of Holyrood hold from the king, the annual render of 100s from the land of Kilpunt (WLO), and the land of Ednam in the sheriffdom of Roxburgh (ROX), holding in feu and heritage, with bondi, bondages, neyfs and their offspring, mills, multures, and other liberties, for the service customarily owed according to the nature of infeftment in frank marriage.
