Description
Robert, king of Scots, notes that by his special grace he has granted Arbroath abbey that while the abbot is in Norway for his negotiations that no legal causes may be moved against them. He firmly prohibits anyone from troubling the monks or their men against this concession on pain of his full forfeiture, excepting brieves of novel dissasine and dowries of women.
