Description
King Robert I has given Culross abbey the barony of Philipstoun (WLO) in the sheriffdom of Edinburgh in the constabulary of Linlithgow which the monks had previously held for forinsec service and suit of court, in pure and perpetual alms, and in free barony, free from all forinsec service, celebrating one mass per day for his soul at the altar of the Holy Trinity forever, for all secular service and demand.
