Description
King Robert I has granted to his nephew Thomas Randolph earl of Moray the new custom of of his burgh of Inverness with the cocket of the said burgh, as contained fully in this charter: [King Robert] has given the said earl and his heirs and his ministers, full power to attach, accuse, and in all things administer and adjudicate all injuries, losses, and prejudices owing to the aforesaid custom, and that the earl may have all amercements, escheats, and forfeitures, in the sheriffdom of Inverness. He commands his sheriff of Inverness and his baillies and grieves and their baillies to respond, give consideration and aid the earl and his heirs and ministers in this.
