Description
David, king of Scots, has given his beloved and faithful William of Irvine for his homage and service all the lands of Whiteriggs and Redmyre, which were Gilbert of Johnstone, son of the late Thomas of Johnstone's, and which Gilbert had hereditarily by charter of infeftment and which he resigned by staff and baton at Perth in the presence of the magnates of the realm, by reason of the rebellion of Walter of Knox; having and holding in feu and heritage, for the service of the tenth part of a knight in the king's army and Scottish service owed and wont.
