David, king of Scots, has inspected and with competent deliberation truly understood a charter of lord Robert, late king of Scotland, our father, made to Arbroath abbey over lands which they have in the parish of Tarves (ABD), finding it neither erased, cancelled, nor damaged, quoted in full: [RRS, v, no. 28; H1/53/33].
