Description
David, king of Scots, has given his beloved and faithful William Douglas for his homage and service all the lands which belonged to James Lovel, knight, in Eskdale and Ewesdale (DMF), due to his forgeiture as the king's enemy, except the lands his father [Robert I] gave Adam of Moffat and Thomas of Moffat; holding in feu and heritage, with advowsons of churches, tenancies and services of freeholders, feus and forfeitures, multures, mills, etc., for service owed and wont.
