Description
Alexander, king of Scots, to Edward, king of England; informing him that Alexander de Balliol of Cavers, knight, is occupied with affairs of John, son of late David earl of Atholl, within his realm, whose lands and goods have been destroyed and alienated by enemies, and so he cannot present himself to King Edward as desired; King Alexander therefore requests that King Edward excuse Alexander de Balliol the service that he owes him in his army
