Description
David, king of Scots, has given his beloved and faithful John of Preston, for his homage and service, the whole barony of Gorton (MLO) in the sheriffdom of Edinburgh which belonged hereditarily to Margaret and Constance, daughters and heirs of the late Edward of Whitewell and Joan Lizurs his spouse in pure widowhood, which they resigned to him by staff and baton of their own free will; having and holding in feu and heritage, for serviced owed and wont.
