Description
David, king of Scots, has established the donation which John Maxwell, lord of Pencaitland, made to Dryburgh abbey of the right of patronage of the church of Pencaitland (ELO), with chapels, lands, renders, etc., holding in pure and perpetual alms, as John's charter attests. He also grants and approves and ratifies the charter which John Maxwell, knight, superior lord, made over the said right of patronage.
