Description
David, king of Scots, has granted his burgesses and community of Inverbervie (KCD) that they may have their vill of Inverbervie in free burgh. He also grants the same burgesses the right to hold a market, saving the liberties of Aberdeen, Montrose, and Dundee, which were granted by his predecessors the kings of Scotland. He prohibits anyone from harassing the burgesses of Inverbervie on pain of his full forfeiture. He takes the said burgesses into his firm peace and protection.
