Description
David, king of Scots, has inspected and truly understood a charter of his beloved nephew William, earl of Ross, finding it neither erased nor destroyed. [Charter of William, earl of Ross, son and heir of lord Hugh, earl of Ross, to Ragnall son of Rory of the Isles, for his faithful service, or ten davochs of his land of Kintail in North Argyll, dated at Urquhart Castle, 4 July 1342.] The king approves and ratifies this charter.
