Description
David, king of Scots, has approved, ratified, and confirmed in perpetuity that donation which Duncan, earl of Fife, made to the late Beatrice Douglas, spouse of the late Archibald Douglas, knight, of the barony of West Calder in the sheriffdom of Edinburgh (MLO), as the earl's charter attests. He also ratifies, approves, and confirms in perpetuity that donation which his beloved and faithful William, lord of Douglas, made to his beloved armour-bearer James Sandilands of the aforesaid barony of West Calder, as William's charter attests, with the homages and services of the freeholders of the vill of Bangour (WLO), which barony and homages and services the king gives James and his heirs in perpetuity.
