Description
David, king of Scots, has granted his beloved and faithful William, lord of Douglas, knight, all the lands, renders and possessions throughout his whole kingdom in which James, lord of Douglas, his uncle, and Archibald of Douglas, his father, died vested and saised, according to his charters; holding in feu and heritage, as attested by the charters and letters of James, lord of Douglas, and Archibald of Douglas. He also confirms to William, lord of Douglas, by this present charter, all the lands of the barony of Drumlanrig (DMF), holding as attested by the charter of his beloved and faithful relative Thomas, earch of Mar, to William, lord of Douglas, and Margaret, his spouse, the king's relative.
