Description
David, king of Scots, notes that in his full council of three communities of his realm held at Scone on 6 November last, he revoked all the lands that he had give no matter to whom, and caused them to be saised in his hands, has given his beloved and faithful bachelor John of Preston all the land of Glenesslin in the sheriffdom of Dumfries , due to the forfeiture of that land by his rebel John Marischal, knight; holding in feu and heritage, for service owed and wont.
