Description
David, king of Scots, has approved, ratified and confirmed in perpetuity that donation and grant which Duncan, earl of Fife, made to the late Beatrice Douglas, spouse of the late Archibald Douglas knight, of the barony of West Calder (MLO) in the sheriffdom of Edinburgh, and that donation and grant which William lord of Douglas made and granted to the late James of Sandilands and Eleanor Bruce, his spouse, of the aforesaid barony; holding and having by Eleanor and her heirs between her and the said James of Sandilands, in feu and heritage, as the charter of the aforesaid William lord of Douglas to James and Eleanor his spouse attests, saving the king's service.
