Robert, king of Scots, has given his beloved and faithful James Douglas, knight, for his homage and service, all the land of Bedrule (ROX), which was John Comyn the knight’s, in Teviotdale; in feu and heritage, as the said John held it, for service owed and wont in the time of King Alexander III.
