Robert, king of Scots, has given Thomas the clerk, son of John of Carruthers, all the lands of Mouswald and Appletreethwaite (DMF), saving to himself the fowling and hunting; holding in feu and heritage, for one pair of gilt spurs on the Feast of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist at his manor of Lochmaben.
