Robert, king of Scots, has given his beloved and faithful Thomas the clerk, son of John of Carruthers, for his homage and service, half of the land which Robert of ‘Applingdene’ had in Annandale by reason of Joan his wife; holding in feu and heritage, for service owed and wont.
