- David, king of Scots, has approved, ratified and confirmed in perpetuity for his beloved and faithful Richard Kerr that donation and grant which William now earl of Douglas made to Richard of the lands of Samuelston in the sheriffdom of Edinburgh (ELO); holding in feu and heritage, as the charter of William attests, saving the king's service.
