Description
Margaret, queen of Scots, makes known that she has heard through Sirs Gilbert de la Haye, her steward, Robert de Meniers, Richard of Bickerton and Ralph, her chaplain, the accounts of Sir William of Swinburne, her treasurer, concerning all receipts and expenses made from 29 Apr. 1259 up to day of the account, that is, from clothing and linens of bishops, of both gold and silk fabric, and from wax, specie, oblations, jewels and of all other small expenses. The total of everything was £598, 10s. 4d., from which William should make satisfaction [for what is owed] to merchants. The seals of queen, Gilbert de Haya, Robert de Meyners, Richard of Bickerton and Ralph, her chaplain, are appended.
