Description
David, king of Scots, has given his beloved armour-bearer Alexander Cockburn the whole barony of Carriden (WLO) in the sheriffdom of Edinburgh, which has escheated to the crown because John de Vieuxpont alienated it unjustly without royal licence, to be held by Alexander and his heirs with Mariota de Vieuxpont legitimately procreated, in default of which, the legitimate heirs of Alexander with whomever, in feu and heritage and as one integral barony, for service owed and wont.
