- Description
- David, king of Scots, has given Henry, duke of Lancaster, earl of Derby and of Lincoln, lord of 'Brigerak' and steward of England, for his homage, fealty and service, the earldom of Moray in the sheriffdom of Inverness; to be held by him and his legitimate male heirs, failing which, by his heirs Matilda, countess of Zeeland, Holland, Hainault and of Blanche of Lancaster, daughters of the said Henry, for the term of their lives, in feu and heritage, as freely as Thomas Randolph, earl of Moray, held it. Upon the deaths of the said Matilda and Blanche daughters of Henry, the earldom shall revert to the crown; for service owed and wont.
