Description
David, king of Scots, to the venerable father in Christ, Patrick, bishop of Brechin, our chancellor; noting his concession to the bishop and Brechin cathedral of the chaplainry of Boath (ANG) with all lands, renders, and rights, and of the land of Cairncortie (ANG), which the late Walter Maule of Panmure gave in perpetuity to the late Adam, bishop of Brechin, and the church of Brechin, and the land of 'Botmernok' in the tenement of Panmure and of two marks sterling owed from the land of 'Breckis' by the abbot and convent of Arbroath annually given to the chapel of Both by the late Christina de Valognes, lady of Panmure. The king commands him to issue a charter under his great seal to Bishop Patrick and Brechin cathedral confirming the lands.
