Description
David, king of Scotland, has given his beloved and faithful James Douglas, son and heir of the late John Douglas knight all those lands called Crunzierton, Mollin, Raehills and Minnygap in the sheriffdom of Dumfries, which were John of Corrie's and which devolved to the king's hands, after which Robert de Colville knight, lord of 'Combirrem', from whom the said lands were held in chief, was forfeited and held to be acting against the king's peace and fealty, for alienating the lands and their tenancies without the king's licence, and which were saised into the king's hands at the time of the legal cause; holding by James and his heirs or assigns, for a pair of gilt spurs or a half mark in the name of blanchferme on Pentecost if requested, for wards, reliefs, marriages, suits of court, and other demands.
