David, king of Scots, to the venerable father in Christ, Patrick, bishop of Brechin, his chancellor, commanding him to issue his letters to Arbroath abbey, quoted verbatim, forbidding them to continue the payment of profitless pensions, especially to those outwith the kingdom.
