Description
David, king of Scots, has seen, read, and attended diligently to eight charters to the Carmelite friars of Aberdeen, exhibited by Adam, superior of the province of the order of Blessed Mary of Mount Carmel in Scotland: [1) Robert, king of Scotland to his chamberlain, commanding him to pay friars ten marks from burgh farm of Aberdeen (RRS, v, no. 259; 1/53/291); 2) Brother Laurence of 'Daleri' and friars make exchange with Thomas Bonar, burgess of Aberdeen (2/104/1); 3) William of Fintray, burgess of Aberdeen, giving 6d. and renewing father's gift of 3s. 6d (3/630/9); 4) Gilbert of Fintray, burgess of Aberdeen, gives 3s. 6d. from Green Street, Aberdeen (3/630/5); 5) Bethinus son of Constantine gave 2s. from his property in Green Street, dated 27 Oct. 1321; 6) John Crab, burgess of Aberdeen, quitclaims one mark, 24 Mar. 1350; Matthew 'Pinchath', burgess of Aberdeen, gives 5 marks, 31 Mar. 1350; Katerina daughter of Walter of Wells burgess of Aberdeen gives land in Green Street (3/630/6).] The king raitifies, approves and confirms these charters in all their points.
