Description
David, king of Scots, has inspected a charter of Nobleman David son of Walter knight over the grant or donation of ten marks annual from the rents of the barony of Kinneil (WLO) in the constabulary of Linlithgow in the sheriffdom of Edinburgh, for the support of one chaplain celebrating perpetually at the altar of the blessed Virgin Mary in the church of Glasgow. [Charter of David son of Walter, dated at Glasgow, 4 Nov. 1361.] The king ratifies, approves and confirms this, for the contemplation of David and his predecessors and successors and for the souls of the king's progenitors and successors, for the prosperity of his state, and for the salvation of his soul.
