Description
David, king of Scots, has approved, ratified and confirmed those donations which his beloved relative Patrick, earl of March and Moray, made to his armour-bearer Alexander of Recklington his heirs and assigns of all the earl's demesne land of Duns (BWK), with his demesne land of 'Mylchalche' and with one husbandland in the same vill of Duns called 'Binniisland'; and similarly donations which he made to the same Alexander and his heirs or assigns, a half ploughland (terram dimidii aratri) called 'Machuland' which was the former John Harper's in the vill of Duns and a half ploughland called 'Machusland' which was John Harper's in the vill of Hume, which lands the said John forfeited to the earl, as contained in the earl's charters; saving the king's service.
