Description
David, king of Scots, to all his foresters, including the foresters of Cluny, Alyth, and Plater, noting that he has inspected a charter of King Malcolm IV, confirmed by his father [Robert I], to Scone abbey, of their licence to cut wood in his forests. Because he does not want to diminish the privileges and liberties of the abbey, he grants the right to cut wood in the aforesaid forests of Cluny, Alyth, and Plater, as well as in all his forests and wood throughout the kingdom, for the aforesaid religious, and their men and beasts.
