Description
David, king of Scots, has given his beloved and faithful John of Inverpeffer and Christiana de St Michael his spouse, the king's relative, for John's homage and service, half of his land of Conveth (BNF) in the sheriffdom of Banff and half his land of the two 'Logie ardachis' (in Ardo, ABD) in the sheriffdom of Aberdeen; holding by John and Christiana whichever lives longer, and their heirs lawfully procreated between them, in feu and heritage, as the late Philip of Meldrum knight, father, and the late Andrew of Meldrum, brother of the aforesaid Christiana. If there are no lawful heirs between them, the king wills the lands will revert to the crown; for the service which Philip and Andrew made.
