Description
David, king of Scots, has inspected a charter of Thomas of Strachan, lord of Knock in the Mearns, to Arbroath abbey. [7 March, 1352, at Arbroath: Thomas gives Arbroath abbey 1 mark annually from the ferme of the lands of Knock (KCD).] The king confirms this, and commands his sheriffs and their baillies to distrain on the inhabitants of Knock to pay this sum, if requested by Arbroath abbey.
