Description
David, king of Scots, has given his beloved and faithful Alexander Ramsay, son of the late Alexander Ramsay of Carnock, the barony of Dalhousie (MLO) which was Patrick Ramsay knight's, and which Patrick resigned to the king; holding by Alexander and the legitimate heirs of his body, failing which, to James Ramsay son of Patrick Ramsay, failing which, to the heirs of Patrick of the same surname; in feu and heritage, in one integral and free barony, with bondsmen and bondages, neyfs and their offspring, with courts and escheats, with tenancies and services of freeholders and advowsons of churches, with pit and gallows, toll and team, and infangenthef, as freely as Patrick held it, making service owed and wont.
