Description
David, king of Scots, has given his beloved physician Donald Bannerman, for faithful service, all his lands of the two 'Clinteys' [or Clintyres] and of two 'Achrinys', namely Waterton (in Ellon parish, ABD) and Welton, so that Donald might finish the chapel of the Blessed Virgin Mary located there, and cause a mass to be celebrated once a week for the soul of his most reverend father Lord Robert, king of Scotland, and for the souls of all the faithful, on the condition that the work not be completed until Michael the cook is dead; holding in feu and heritage, with bondsmen and bondages, neyfs and their offspring, with courts and escheats; rendering on pair of gilt spurs or 12d. for all marriages, suits of court, etc.
