Description
David, king of Scots, has given his beloved and faithful John Lyon for his faithful service all his lands of 'Cruthyeriston' in Garioch (ABD), which belonged to David of Brechin, knight, and which came to the king due to his forfeiture, and which lands his relative Thomas, earl of Mar, then holding the land of Garioch in his hands, gave and assigned by charter to John of Mar chaplain and his assigns, and which came to the king's hands due to the revocation in parliament held at Scone on 27 Sept., AD 1367; holding in feu and heritage, as freely as David held it; rendering one penny on Whitsun as blanchferme if requested at 'Cruthierston', for wards, reliefs, marriages, and suits of court.
